is a licensed journeyman electrician in Colorado and Montana. He has over a decade of experience as an electronics technician in the U.S. Coast Guard. Robert is currently serving in the Army Reserves as a Black Hawk helicopter mechanic.

, Union Carpentry instructor, has worked at Trapper Creek Job Corps Center for over a decade. Prior to this, he worked on projects across the state of Montana as a union carpenter. David enjoys passing on his experiences to the next generation of carpentry students.

Laura Newby

is a full-time Welding Instructor at Trapper Creek Job Corps Center. She has a background in pipeline welding and metal fabrication, and her specialty is metal sculpting. Laura’s roles in these fields have provided her with experience and insight into career skills and studies, and how to teach in a shop setting.

Donald Caneda

is an International Union of Painters and Allied Trades Painting instructor at Trapper Creek Job Corps Center. Prior to working with Job Corps, he worked in commercial and residential painting for over 18 years. Donald’s experience in construction and painting prepared him to educate and train the next generation of professional painters.
