Sharon Littlejohn

Once she read the qualifications and mission of Job Corps, she felt it would be a great fit. For the past 29 years, Sharon has worked in several departments at Job Corps, including records, scheduling, residential, center standards and career services.

John Ruebusch

finance supervisor, previously served as Math instructor before assuming his current role at Cincinnati Job Corps Center in 2018. He brings more than 35 years of teaching experience and currently teaches as an adjunct professor at Cincinnati State Community and Technical College. When he isn’t working, John enjoys walking, reading, singing in his church choir and playing with his grandkids.

He earned an Associate of Arts degree in human services from Big Sandy Community and Technical College, a bachelor’s degree from Morehead State University and a master’s degree in criminal justice administration. He loves working with students and helping them be the best they can be.

Shirley Bryant - Academics and Life Skills - Carl D. Perkins Job Corps Center

Shirley Bryant

is a 25-year veteran of the Carl D. Perkins Job Corps Center working as the Penn Foster High School/GED instructor and academic disabilities coordinator. She previously served as a TABE Math instructor, Paintsville High School instructor, academic manager, GED instructor and Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery tutor. Shirley received her Bachelor of Arts degree in education in mathematics and language arts from Alice Lloyd College. She then continued postgraduate courses and received her Rank II from Morehead State University.

Ricky Yates

Facilities Maintenance instructor, has worked with Carl D. Perkins Job Corps Center for over 13 years. He holds certifications as a master carpenter and electrician and through the National Center for Construction Education and Research and teaches Carpentry, Electrical and Facilities Maintenance career technical training classes, along with NCCER credentials at Carl D. Perkins Job Corps. Ricky attended Big Sandy Community and Technical College, where he earned multiple certifications in construction.

Michael Spradlin

has taught at Carl D. Perkins Job Corps Center for 20 years, from Test of Adult Basic Education Math instructor to GED instructor, to his current role as Driver’s Education instructor. Michael received his welding degree from Big Sandy Community and Technical College, Associate of Science degree at the University of Kentucky, then Bachelor of Arts degree and Rank II in education at Morehead State University.

Kelly Duncan

is a Test of Adult Basic Education Reading instructor at Carl D. Perkins Job Corps Center. She previously worked with the public school system and volunteered at Carl D. Perkins Job Corps Center. She earned a Bachelor of Science degree in education at Eastern Kentucky University, then completed her Rank II from Morehead State University. She is excited about this new chapter in her professional life and enjoys teaching Carl D. Perkins Job Corps students.

Jennifer Leedy

Test of Adult Basic Education instructor, spent 27 years as an educator at Big Sandy Community and Technical College, including 16 years as head of the math department. Jennifer earned her Bachelor of Arts degree from Pikeville College and her master’s and doctoral degrees from Morehead State University in adult and higher education. Now Jennifer enjoys teaching math skills to Job Corps students.

Harold Auxier Jr. - Academics and Life Skills - Carl D. Perkins Job Corps Center

Harold Auxier Jr.

CORE/Foundations instructor with Carl D. Perkins Job Corps Center, teaches National Center for Construction Education and Research CORE/Foundations. He previously taught Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning and is certified to teach OSHA, High-Performance Insulation Professionals and NCCER. For nearly 15 years, Harold has been dedicated to ensuring all his students are safely trained to enter construction career technical training classes.

Greg Gamble

has taught high school students at Paintsville High School for nearly 20 years and enjoys partnering with Job Corps to teach social studies to students pursuing their high school equivalency credential. Greg earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in secondary education from Alice Lloyd College, then completed a master’s degree in educational administration and a Master of Arts degree in instructional supervision from Union College.
