has served as a full time High School Diploma instructor at Dayton Job Corps Center since December 2021. She has a bachelor’s degree in statistics and economics and a master’s degree in applied mathematics. Currently, Najlaa is a Ph.D. student in engineering electro optics and photonics at the University of Dayton and has been teaching as a part-time math professor at Wilberforce University since February 2021.

Shay loves to write poetry and cuddle with her little Chiweenie while watching ’80s horror movies.

Marcia enjoys working with students and receives great satisfaction from knowing that she plays a part in their success.

She has spent more than 40 years in the classroom, and before coming to Job Corps 11 years ago, she taught science at Muhlenberg County High School and Madisonville Community College. Carolyn currently teaches math, GED and ELL high school classes. Her goal is not only to help students solve math problems, but to help them gain the skills they will need to solve real-world problems.
