Antonio Green - Carpentry - Woodstock Job Corps Center

Antonio Green

Carpentry instructor Antonio Green is a journeyman carpenter who graduated from the United Brotherhood of Carpenters Apprenticeship Program. He has numerous jobsite certifications, including blueprint reading and layout, power actuated tools, aerial lift, and scaffold erector. Antonio has extensive jobsite experience from numerous different contractors and is proficient in layout, framing and drywall installation. Antonio enjoys passing his knowledge to others and working with students through the challenges and rewards of completing projects.

Christopher England - Network Cabling - Woodstock Job Corps Center

Christopher England

joined Woodstock Job Corps Center in December 2019 as the Network Cabling instructor. He is an eight-year veteran of the U.S. Air Force, where he was a flight medic on the C-130 Hercules, C-5 Galaxy and a C-17 Globemaster with the 43rd Aeromedical Evacuation Squadron. Christopher also worked in telecommunications for over 20 years and is a BICSI-certified technician and a Fiber Optic Association-certified specialist. Christopher lives with his wife and daughter and enjoys golf, hunting, fishing and football.

Travis Webster - Landscaping Trainee, Pre-Apprentice - Woodstock Job Corps Center

Travis Webster

Before joining Woodstock Job Corps Center as HBI Landscape instructor, Travis Webster was a landscape business owner with nearly 30 years of experience in the industry. His specialties are hardscaping, working with water features and landscape maintenance. Travis uses his experience as a business owner to train his students, as well as network with industry leaders to help provide training and placement opportunities for students. Travis is creative and thinks outside the box, which provides an exciting and engaging experience for Landscape students.

Nong Bouh - Electrical - Woodstock Job Corps Center

Nong Bouh

is a master electrician and studied at Baltimore City Community College and Morgan State University. He is dedicated to his trade and brings passion and experience as an HBI Electrical instructor at Woodstock Job Corps Center. Nong engages with students in hands-on activities like pipe bending, pulling wires and house wiring. 

Ted Kearney - Academics and Life Skills - Woodstock Job Corps Center

Ted Kearney

Before joining Woodstock Job Corps Center as an Academic instructor, Ted Kearney taught in the School District of Philadelphia and at the Children’s Guild School of Prince George’s County. Ted received a degree from Saint Joseph’s University and now loves guiding and teaching young minds and serving as a mentor. In his free time, Ted loves to travel, sports and food, especially anything that reminds him of Philadelphia. 

Nan Ting - Academics and Life Skills - Woodstock Job Corps Center

Nan Ting

is an Academic instructor at Woodstock Job Corps Center. She studied at George Washington University and Johns Hopkins University and holds a bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering and a master’s degree in secondary education. Nan loves math and hopes to share her knowledge with students. In her free time, Nan enjoys spending time with her son, tinkering around on the piano, reading young adult novels and baking. 

David Smith - Academics and Life Skills - Woodstock Job Corps Center

David Smith

is an Academic instructor at Woodstock Job Corps Center. He is passionate about math and especially enjoys teaching algebraic functions. David is always engaged with students, often writing math equations with them on whiteboard desks. He is a fan of math puns and creates a relaxed atmosphere as students tackle advanced math topics. Outside of work, David enjoys spending time with his daughters.

Vernon Hallis - Academics and Life Skills - Woodstock Job Corps Center

Vernon Hallis

brings nearly 40 years of experience to the Woodstock Job Corps classroom as an Academic instructor. He earned his bachelor’s degree from Elon University and his master’s degree from Loyola University. Vernon’s area of expertise is math, and geometry is his favorite skill to teach. He loves all things Baltimore, and his classroom is decorated to reflect his enthusiasm for the Orioles and the Ravens sports teams. 

Nicole Stauffer - Academics and Life Skills - Woodstock Job Corps Center

Nicole Stauffer

is an Academic instructor at Woodstock Job Corps Center. She earned her teaching degree from Penn State University, and she has teaching experience in Virginia and Maryland, working with almost every age, including infants, college students and everything in between. Nicole enjoys getting to know her students on a personal level through class discussions, writing prompts and a variety of activities. She focuses her instruction on topics that her students are familiar with or express interest in.
