is the lead Carpentry instructor and has over 30 years of experience in the construction industry. He is an affiliate of the United Brotherhood Carpenters of America and takes pride in teaching students life and work skills that will help them be successful in the future.

Gualter Pereira - Academics and Life Skills - Westover Job Corps Center

Gualter Pereira

is a full-time Driver’s Education instructor at Westover Job Corps Center. He is bilingual in English and Portuguese. Gualter is responsible for training new drivers and assisting students with getting their learner’s permits, as well as behind-the-wheel training with veteran students to pass their road tests. He also makes sure Westover’s standards for Driver’s Education surpass those of the state of Massachusetts.

Haven Williams - Academics and Life Skills - Westover Job Corps Center

Haven Williams

is a full-time High School Diploma instructor. He has worked in public and private settings and is dedicated to seeing his students succeed. Haven works in close partnership with our Penn Foster College liaison to get our students enrolled and, on their way, to earning HSDs.

Tamar Berthiaume- Academics and Life Skills - Westover Job Corps Center

Tamar Berthiaume

is a full-time Reading instructor at Westover Job Corps Center. Over the years, she has taught Spanish, reading, literature and writing in both public and private educational institutions. An herbalist in her spare time, Tamar has a love of gardening and all things green. She is frequently found working alongside our CTT classes in the All-Hands Garden, a collaborative effort between academics and the career training areas to work with sustained agriculture.

Glen Grimm - Heating, Ventilation, & Air Conditioning - Westover Job Corps Center

Glen Grimm

joined the Westover Job Corps Center team after 36 years in manufacturing maintenance. He also is an affiliate of the Home Builders Institute. He started his teaching career at Lincoln Technical School. Now, as an instructor at Westover, he feels the Advanced Training HVAC program has had a lot of success since it began in 2021. The HVAC program has an extremely high completion and placement rate, which Glen feels is a result of the ambitious standards set for his students.

Wendy Lane - Pharmacy Technician - Westover Job Corps Center

Wendy Lane

, is a Westover Job Corps Center graduate. After graduating, she attended college and spent over 20 years working at several pharmacies, including CVS, BJ’s Pharmacy, Brooks Pharmacy and Rite Aid. Wendy returned to Westover in 2016 as a Pharmacy Technician instructor. “I am here because Job Corps gives me the opportunity to combine my two passions in life: pharmacy and teaching. I look forward to teaching many more students here and helping them find their passion in life.”

Ryan King - Maintenance - Light Repair - Westover Job Corps Center

Ryan King

has over 20 years of experience in the auto repair industry, including his current role as lead Auto instructor at Westover Job Corps Center. He is a licensed master consultant and ASE  Master Technician. Ryan also teaches professional racing car driving  at the local racing track Lime Rock Park. He loves teaching new skills to trainees that will help them be successful in their future jobs.

David Shea

has over 40 years of experience in the plumbing industry and is an affiliate of the Home Builders Institute. After a successful career owning and operating his own plumbing business, David became a Plumbing instructor at Westover Job Corps Center to give students the same opportunities he experienced in the plumbing field. David summed up his job in one quote: “Teaching gives me an opportunity to share knowledge and skill set that trainees can take on the job and earn a living.”  

Nylma I. Pillich - Office Administration - Westover Job Corps Center

Nylma I. Pillich

brings over 30 years of office administration experience to her position as Office Administration instructor at Westover Job Corps Center, including housing administration, management, pharmacy technician and medical office administration. Nylma believes “mistakes don’t define who we are but help you be and get better.” Her experiences have provided her with insight into career skills and studies that she uses to prepare students to be successful in their career paths.
