Verbal, non-verbal and written communications are needed to succeed in work and live independently. Communication skills are infused throughout the program.

Verbal Communication:
  • Asking for feedback
  • Making an explanation
  • Giving instructions
  • Making a presentation
  • Using appropriate workplace language and skills
Non-Verbal Communication:
  • Posture
  • Eye contact
  • Gestures

Written Communications:
  • Spelling
  • Basic English, grammar and punctuation
  • Writing a sentence
  • Writing a paragraph
  • Writing an essay
  • Writing instructions and directions
